How do I calculate an overnight shift?+
Select “Ends next day”. For example, 22:00 to 06:00 the following day is 8 hours before breaks. The calculator never assumes that an earlier end time is an overnight shift.
Are breaks included in working time?+
The break field is subtracted from your shift. Enter only unpaid breaks, or enter 0 if all of your breaks count as working time.
Why do I need decimal hours?+
Decimal hours express minutes as a fraction of an hour. 8 hours 30 minutes is 8.50 hours, while 8 hours 45 minutes is 8.75. The displayed decimal is rounded to two places.
